A Is wrong. As an experiment must have been conducted after a feasibility study and avoiding sampling errors and bias. It is a common practice to evaluate research tools using expert guidance to reduce research bias and error. In this study also this all might have done, which leaves nearly no scope for research bias. Besides that, thinking about research bias because of an unexpected result is against the spirit of scientific inquiry. It will look like the researchers are doubting their research methodology because of " unideal" or "undesirable" results.

B. It is the right answer.  As the result obtained is indicating that alternative explanations are possible and must be considered. While a hypothesis can be partially confirmed by showing that what is deduced from it with certain initial conditions is actually found under those conditions, it cannot be completely proved in this way. So, further studies on the same topic can be considered after modifying the hypothesis. As the chosen hypothesis is only partially proven alternative explanations must be explored.  

C is wrong as Formulating scientific law is not a considerable option with a partially proven hypothesis as a  scientific law is a statement that summarizes the observed relationship (statistically significant)between variables
