Health care plays vital role in meeting health needs and demands of the growing population. It is mandatory for the hospitals and employees to assure the delivery of quality and safe care. In order to ensure this various private and non profitable organization keeps a check on each component of quality aspect for health care providers. Joint commission evaluate the compliance of health care professionals and organization.

Accreditation comes under quality assurance process that provides certification to the competent health care organization that adheres to the policies and standards formulated by the joint commission.

Inorder to obtain deemed status hospitals must meet federal bodies norms and regulations. Only deemed hospitals in health care will receive the payment from the medicare and medicaid services rendered by the federal government.

The ways to obtain accreditation status for hospitals includes the following:

- The hospital must realize the need for accreditation and the process. Firstly selecting a accreditation organization plays an essential component. One source of accredit or is selected for entire hospitals in order to save time,money and man power.

- Once the specific accreditor is selected next steps involves in going through the manual of the accreditor board. This helps the mentors and hospital administrators to understand the requirements of the chosen accrediting board.

- Perform surveys and assessment to identify the strength and weakness and also to identify gaps. Evaluate and identify the areas of weakness and the was to rectify the weakness. Based on deficiencies develop strategy plans to improve performance outcome.

- Disseminate information from core level to improve compliance at all levels of the organization.

- Continuos education of the employees to keep the quality indicators at the highest point.
