Describe primary or secondary consequences of violence and discuss how a public health approach can facilitate the future prevention of such incidents (1-2 short paragraphs). Please provide  references. How can nurses in any practice setting utilize a public health approach to violence prevention to reduce the burden of violence on a population of interest? What are barriers or what would you like to know more about to be able to do this? (1-2 short paragraphs).

Violence against women is a popular violence in the world..it includes intimate partner violence(IPV) that is sexual or physical violence occuring within an intimate relationship and non-partner sexual violence includes rape,sexual assault etc..Public health intervention address these incidence with three levels of prevention that is primary,secondary, and tertiary prevention..Primary prevention aims to prevent the disease due to this incidence, secondary prevention aims to findout the cause for this violence and tertiary prevention to prevent death and disability due to this violence..
The gender violence make serious consequences for the health of woman and the family, primary care services is the first line of care can address the health problems and helps community in active way..As a nurse their responsibility to include the people in prevention activity, recovery and health promotion..It includes early detection of the problem and prevent the disease process..this is nurses responsibility to improve their knowledge for secondary prevention among community in a active role..the intervention focus to replace the health of woman and promote the development of life with surrounding free from violence..
It is a public health issues it need intervention and protection for woman suffering from violence caused by inequalities of gender...lack of knowledge about prevention and training should be done to improve the early detection..professional education and training for nurses and then active participation on violence prevention can protect the life of the woman and remove the barriers for prevention measures..government participation in this prevention helps to remove the barriers with early prevention and woman protection..
