Answer: The importance of cultural competence is a matter that abolish the difference of race, colour, size, shape or the region or religion. There are various benefits of cultural competence practice which includes the promotion of mental wellness as well as positive behaviour, ensuring that people access the full benefit of health care services and activities.

It also makes us aware of how culture influences a person's behaviour and thinking allows to plan the best public health care. The awareness of the rules of interactions within a specific cultural group, i.e. communication will help us to better understand the attitudes of the public. It is necessary for us to know about the diversity and cultures of the population groups we serve. Cultural competence is an important component in health care serving and also it can directly affect patient safety.
