1. The essential qualities of a good supervisor are :-
- Give Clear Directions
As a supervisor, give all the direction required for each job. Remember that you may need to repeat some of your directions, or maybe try a different approach
- Train New Employees Well
New employees may be frightened at the prospect of a new workplace, new coworkers, and new skills to learn. Studies have shown properly oriented employees are more satisfied with there work, more productive, and more likely to stay in the job
- Be Consistent
Always follow through on what you say. If you intend to deduct part of an employees salary for being late to work, do it.
- Treat Employees Fairly
Whenever possible, do what d best for your employees. Take any necessary actions that can help them work without sacrificing the amount or quality of work that is done.
- Set a Good Example
Set a good example in everything you do on the job. Show up on time to work so that you wont set a bed example for your employees
- Delegate Responsibility
As a supervisor, don't try to do everything your-self. take some time to teach employees how to do new task.
- Foster Teamwork
as a manager you can learn to foster teamwork in many different ways. Such as, try to promote honest and frank discussion before decisions are made.
- Be Firm When Necessary
This can be done without losing you temper. A friendly Suggestion may be all it takes for some employees. For other others you may have to give a more direct and firm approach.
2. Supervisor is responsible for accomplishing the units objective through others . Planning , determining ways to achieve organisation objectives , setting goals , establishing budgets , setting timetable , establishing guidelines etc are the main roles of a supervisor .

4. The last time i dealt with an employee who was not coming on time for duty which caused delay in actions . It was become regular for him .
