Answer #1

Anticoagulant : These are agents (drugs) that help prevent blood clots. Examples of the anticoagulant drugs are: Heparin, Warfarin etc. As thrombin is the major factor which is responsible for blood clots, hence these drugs act by inactivating thrombin which stops the formation of fibrin and prevents blood clotting. These drugs are used to treat blood clots that have formed abnormally inside the blood vessels. The side effects include blood in the urination, bleeding gums, severe back pain etc.

Antianginal: These are the drugs used in angina pectoris as well as a symptom of ischaemic heart disease. The main drugs are used such as nitrates, beta blockers, or calcium channel blockers. These drugs act as by dilating the vessels so as to improve the blood circulation and hence treat the symptom of ischaemic heart disease. The side effects include such as a headache, edema etc.

Diuretics: These are the drugs which increase the flow of urine. These drugs are mainly used in hypertension (high blood pressure). The drugs used are Metolazone, Chlorothiazide etc. They act by decreasing the sodium reabsorption in the nephron, hence increases urinary sodium and water losses.
