Anticoagulants are medicines that help prevent blood clots. They are given to people at a high risk of getting clots, to reduce their chances of developing conditions such as strokes and heart attacks. The most commonly used are Rivaroxaban, Dabigatran and Apixaban.

Antianginal agents is aterm used to describe medicines in the management of angina. Antianginal agents include nitrates, calcium antagonist and betablockers.

Diuretics reduce fluid in the blood vessels and helps lower your blood pressure. Types of diuretics are thiazide, loop, and potassium-sparing diuretic.
