If a patient has a re-plantation of a finger why would you not raise the hand above the level of the heart? Thanks in advance for your response.

If we raise the re-planted finger above the heart level, it will not get adequate blood supply to regain its function. Blood supply is very important to the re-planted finger so that only we are instructing the patient not to raise the hand above the heart level.
