Patho physiology:

1. Adverse intra uterine environment ( Epigenetics altered development)

2. Family history ( genetic shared environment)

3. Cellular nutrients and energy excess

4. Mitochondrial dysfunction.

Above factors causes alteration in gene and protein expression

This cause insulin resistance and beta cell destruction

That may leads to diabetes mellitus type 2.

Example:

Mr. X with first degree relative diabetes, Mr.X will have shared genetic environment, that may cause beta cell destruction and may leads to diabetes type 2.
