Answer) TYPE | DIABETES:

1)The insulin making cells which are present in pancreas are destroyed by immune system.

2) Insulin making cells are called as beta cells and are destroyed by immune system mistakenly.

3) this is also called as insulin dependant diabetes

4) in this type of diabetes pancreas produce little amount of insulin or no insulin

PATHOPHYSIOLOGY: intracellular lipase undergoes a reaction which is inhibited by insulin which results in inhibition of breakdown of fat in adipose tissue. Insulin allows glucose in cells and in these cells glycerol is synthesized by glucose.

ETIOLOGY: the causes of diabetes include ageing, genes, excessive body weight, smoking,Viruses

MANIFESTATIONS :

1) there is a increase in thirst

2) increase in appetite

3) increase in urination

4) weight loss

TREATMENT: diabetes cannot be cured but can be prevented by maintaining a proper diet, by regular monitoring of blood sugar level, by taking insulin therapy and by doing exercise.
