Therapeutic reasoning is the process of logical flow of thinking used in occupational therapy to identify client's needs, assess them and plan the intervention by critically evaluating the needs appropriately.

There are differenr types of therapeutic reasoning-

Narrative reasoning

Here the therapist try to include narrative sense and logic of treatment in the life of the individual

Procedural reasoning

Here the therapist enables the procedure of therapy to be the base foe logical decision making

Pragmatic reasoning

It includes skills of therapist, reimburshements and reasoning associated with cost.

Interactive reasoning

Here the reasoning is based with the aim to understand the patient as a person.

Conditional reasoning

Here the conditioned reasons are created that includes the conditions for future of the treatment.
