The Best Vision statement I have personally come across is of the Oceana.inc. It goes as follows:
"Seeks to make our oceans as rich, healthy, and abundant as they once were."
Importance and Relevance: Understanding what the company is into is by its vision statement. Operating in the fishing industry, the company implements science based fishing management where it protects the natural habitats and reduces the by-catch of the fishes in the oceans. Oceans as reported by researchers and scientists are in trouble. especially the fishing numbers have been dropping drastically in last few decades. Hence this company is pioneer to implement and protect the oceanic resources and perform the fishing activity scientifically. Hence the vision statement are very much relevant to the activity they do.
Improvements: The vision statements does not all together point out fishing. Oceana could've mentioned fish or fishing in their statements to be more accurate.
