EHR ( Electronic Health Record ) is the maintenance of patients health information in digital format . Some of the features which are beneficial to the facility and physicians are :-

- easy to use

- less time is needed to document and find a data

- flexible

- everything is available at one place

- less maintainence of the document

- secure and safe

- 24×7 available

- provides data for research purpose

All these features are the qualities of the EHR ,which helps the physicians and facility to utilize more time in patient care than in writing down in the sheets. Digital format has made the documentation process more easy and less time is needed to fill the documents and to find the data as all the required information is already available in the system from the time the patient gets registered in the hospital ,also it helps to share the data across different hospitals so that fastly all investigations and consultantations are done in order to make the diagnosis and provision of treatment .
