A solution is prepared by adding 47 g of potassium sulfate to 175 g of water, carefully heating the solution, and cooling it to 40°C. A homogeneous solution is obtained. Given Potassium Sulfate hasa solubility of 15 g in 100 g of water.

Therefore the solubility of Potassium Sulfate in 175g of water = 15*175/100 = 26.25 g

By heating carefully heating the water and cooling it, 47 g of Potassium Sulfate has been dissolved in 175 g of water.

Since this is more than its solubility limit, it is a supersaturated solution.

15 g of Potassium Sulfate in 100g of water will make it a saturated solution
