The four parenting styles are as follows:

* Authoritarian parenting: they are also disciplirians

# punishment is common with strict discipline and only some negotiation

# not democratic and parents communicate only one way

# expectation is higher from children side with the less flexibility

# less nurturing of children is present

* permissive parenting: here parents give freedom to children to do what they want with little guidance and direction

# children are free to what they want to do and no rules from their parents side

# communication is open and let children decide decision and they will have less direction

# parents in this tend to be warm and nurturing

# expectations are limited and and not forceful

* Uninvolved parenting: here there are no rules and not strict enough

# no discipline is maintained and child is allowed to do what they want were in the child is not directed

# no nurturing and caring present

# there are no expectations from children

* Authoritative parenting is reasonable and has clear expecati which motivates and directs the child to be in a right direction

# nurturing and caring is most provided

# communication is more frequent and appropriate which makes the child into right tract

# expectations set makes the child to have clear objectives and goals.

The common parenting style of authoritative has changed over the last decade whereby the commercialization and industrialisation makes the parents busy and the family also being a nuclear family children are not much given time as they would be more busy with their own work. Hence the children are not much guided or directed whereby the nurturing is not much present

The styles of parenting are accurately described in terms of their effectiveness and parents role in bringing up and nurturing the child in overall development
