Why is velocity not used to calculate kinetic energy?
here the kinetic energy is KE
the mass of the object is " m "
the velocity of the object is " v "
so the kinetic energy is KE = 1/2 m v2
so
KE directly proportional to square of the velocity
so the kinetic energy is compulsory depends on velocity..
but an additive information is that the potential energy is not depends on velocity..
Why is velocity not used to calculate kinetic enegry? Someone help! Thanks!
Why is velocity not used to directly calculate kinetic enegry?? Someone give me a easy answer that’s self explanatory! Thanks!

Calculate the average kinetic energy and RMS velocity of a xenon atom at 166.126 K, which is just 1.075 degrees above the boiling point of xenon at 1 atmosphere pressure. The atomic mass of xenon is 131.293 amu. Because the kinetic energy of a single atom is so tiny, express the KE in units of 10−23 10-23 J.

Find the uncertainty in kinetic energy. Kinetic energy depends on mass and velocity according to this function E(mv) - 1/2 m v2. Your measured mass and velo city have the following uncertainties 5m0.18 kg and Sv1.59 m/s. What i:s is the uncertainty in energy, SE, if the measured mass, m - 3.93 kg and the measured velocity, v- 12.43 m/s? Units are not needed in your answer.
please solve with energy equation.
