Consider your current or past jobs. Discuss their safety and health risks- consider different dimensions of health (physical, mental, social, spiritual, intellectual). It's a unique challenge for health care personal to protect themselves and patient from hazards and injuries..in my work place employees reduce the hazards like prevention of medication error,documentation, cultural competency, falls prevention, infection control etc..

As we are head of the organization we should consider employees safety first ..it can be done by preventing environmental injuries and hazards..they are working for 24 hours it's a stressful condition for them to overcome all the situation.. universal strategy to prevent violence by review of employees screening,training of staffs regarding incidents and workplace violence prevention and safety practices..it's a crucial role for the head of the department for the successful strategy implementation..

- create cultural and safety by foster a culture of prevention

- workers insurance and medical cost should pay for them for their injuries, workplace violence happen in hospital

- timely documentation can protect the employee from the hazards

- infection control strategy can help prevent infection from patient

- work hours should be equally distributed for all the staffs

- waste handling and storage and sharp object injury contamination, blood borne pathogens standard requirement protect employee from hazards..
