The balanced diet is the one that has appropriate proportions of all the macro as well as micro nutrients in it. The healthy body can be achieved through proper dietary consumption of all the elements that are essential for the human body. As per the Acceptable Macro-nutrients Distribution Ranges it is stated that each element or macro-nutrient has to be in a fixed portion in diet to make it well balanced and effective.

The ranges states that the acceptable carbohydrate range for the healthy adult is around 45 to 65%.

Protein consist for about 10 to 35% of the balanced human diet.

Fat should be equal to 20 to 35% in a normal adult diet.
