Manual bladder expression is not recommended for culturing microorganisms due to vesicoureteral reflex. It causes reflex or backward flow of urine from ureters to the kidneys before the urine will flow out of the bladder. It can cause contamination of the urine sample with kidney cells and can also lead to spread of bacteria to the kidneys, if the urinary bladder has infection.Correct answer is A.
