1. There are mainly 3 types of fat found in foods.

a. Unsaturated fats

b. Saturated fats

c. Trans fats

a. Unsaturated fats:-

- It is known as good or healthy fats. It remains liquid at room temperature.

- Unsaturated fats are again defined as monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats.

- Source of monounsaturated fatty acids are olive oil, canola oils, avocados, almonds, pecans, and sesame acid, etc.

- Source of polyunsaturated fats are sunflower oil, soybean oil, mustard oil, walnuts, fish, etc.

- One example of polyunsaturated fatty acids is omega-3-fatty acids, the body can't make omega-3-fatty acids. so we need to get it from diets.

b. Saturated fats:-

- It is an unhealthy fat that remains solid at room temperature.

- It increases the risk of many non-communicable diseases like heart disease and stroke.

- Sources of saturated fats are red meat, whole milk, and milk products, coconut oil, palm oil, cheese, etc.

c. Trans fat:-

- These fats are very unhealthy for the body because trans fats are highly associated with the risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, hypertension, etc.

- It is also known as industrial fat because it is processed by hydrogenation.

- The sources of trans fat are fried food, junk food, first food, baked food, snacks, etc.

2. Some fats are good as example unsaturated fats, it raised our HDL label and lower LDL label. HDL reducing risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and other chronic condition.

Some fats are very bad like saturated fats and trans fats, it increases the LDL label in the body. It increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and other chronic condition. It creates inflammations which tend to plaque formation in the blood vessels, restricts blood supply to vital organs.

Trans fat also increases insulin resistance which is the main reason for type-2 diabetes Mellitus.
