Step 1.

Meridian Health Plan of Illinois, Inc. is considered as Illinois ' highest-rated Medicaid plan. It has an overall rating of 4 out of 5 with a great performance in care and prevention for baby well-child visits and reproductive health for women, it has an overall high performance in care which contribute to its top rating.

Step 2. The health prevention plan provide significant benefits to the members in terms of routine physical examination, immunizations, RHCs clinic visits and allergy treatment and prevention. The program offers a diverse range of services. These services involve tobacco cessation as prevention of smoking prevents a large number of respiratory diseases. It covers the aspects of oral health prevention for the patients. This is done to prevent future complications in the health and wellness of the patients. The plan also offers a contract with the healthcare providers as they earn gift cards whenever they participate in an incentive program.

Step 3.

The prevention program is highly effective in terms of tobacco cessation, maintenance of dental and reproductive health but it needs to offer preventive services in terms of alcohol abuse and prevention of HIV. Both alcohol abuse and HIV comes under serious health concerns so they must be prevented by an effective health prevention plan.
