1. Heart diseases or heart problems

2. Cancers

3. Chronic lower respiratory diseases like pneumonia

4. Accidents

5. Stroke

6. Alzheimer disease

7. Diabetes

8. Suicide

9. Renal problems like, kidney diseases

10 . Septicemia.

These are ten leading causes of death in United States.

One of the most leading cause of heart disease :

Proposal for public health programme like to identify the knowledge regarding causes and risk factors for cardiovascular diseases in the particular community group of people.

Steps to evaluate the program :

1. Formulation of short term and long term objectives.

2. Plans or preparation of interventions to meet that objectives.

3. Implementation of those activities

4. Evaluation done by using analysis and interpretation of data.

For this program we can use the descriptive research design.

Data collection should be done by the people, by interviewing and check list method.

Collecting the data by asking questions regarding their

- dietary patterns,

- physical activity

- stress levels

- family history

- life styles

- behavioural habits like smoking and alcoholism

- any previous exposures.

By collecting all the information by this above stated questions we can know the knowledge of people's regarding heart problems.

These information we can interpret with our goals.

* if not met that goals modifications should be needed.

* Recommendations to improve our programe, by giving health Information module we can improve health status of people.
