The quality or state of being in good health is called Wellness.

Components of Wellness:

Health and wellbeing of a person are affected by different components or factors.    There are mainly eight components of Wellness. An individual should focus on all the components with importance . They are:

* Physical:

Physical wellness can be maintained by good nutrition, adequate exercise and rest and sleep and by avoiding bad habits like smoking and alcohol.

* Intellectual :

Intellectual wellness means the ability of a person to utilize his intelligence and talents in a creative way and to use effectively his knowledge and skills. An individual can increase his intellectual wellness by learning new language or musical instrument or by involving in challenging tasks etc.

* Emotional :

Emotional wellness refers to the ability to deal with stress effectively, to show emotions appropriately and to sustain relationships. This wellness can be maintained by good relationship status, relaxation, rest and recreation etc.

* spiritual :

Spiritual wellness means a person 's understanding about meaning and purpose of his life and values and beliefs , and also an accountability to a supreme Power of the Universe. This can improve by prayer, moral standards and hearing religious messages.

* Social :

Social wellness refers to one's ability to maintain interactions and connection with one another in society. One can lead a successful life in society with satisfaction only by maintaining good social relationships.

* Occupational :

Occupational wellness refers to a condition, when a person free from occupational stress, and can maintain balance between work or office and rest.
