Question

When to use 0.18% Dextrose saline, 0.45% dextrose saline, 0.9% NS, and 0.3% , for pediatric patients

I know it has something to do with age.

0.18% Dextrose Saline-Dehydration treatment due to moderated loss of sodium and chloride and in starvation and is commonly used in paediatric settings such as renal,hepatic and cardiac units.

0.45% Dextrose Saline-Dehydration treatment ,hypovolaemia.

0.9%NS-It is commonly indicated for use as a priming solution in haemodialysis procedures.
