Answer #1

There are many reasons that fat should be Included in our diet.

There are two types of fats. Healthy fat and unhealthy fat.

Unhealthy fats are saturated fats which have double bonds in their structure and because of that they are not easily digested but unsaturated fats are very important part of our diet. They have single bonds and thus they pack very dense together.

1) Our cell wall is made up of fats so that is the very first reason we have to include fats in our diet because without fats our cells can't be made. Our cells divide every 24 hours and to make these cells, our diet needs to have an appropriate amount of fats.

2) Our body needs vitamin for several body functions. Vitamins are used as cofactor for enzymes and enzymes are necessary for daily activities that take place in our cell. Vitamins are of two types, water soluble and fat soluble. Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat soluble vitamins and they can't be used unless they are soluble in fat. So, to make them soluble, fats should be included in our diet.

3) Last but not the least is that fat is one of the sources as fuel for energy. Our body not just use carbohydrates for energy use, fat is major source for energy Infact athletes have their diet accordingly that their body use fat as an energy source.
