Answer #1

Now its given that :

A liter bag contains 5% dextrose and patient is given infusion of 75ml per hour of that solution.

Solution:

5% Dextrose means 5g of dextrose in 100 ml of the solution.

So,

1 lt (1000 ml) of the solution will contains = 59 100ml * 1000ml dextrose

=50g dextrose

ANS Bag contains 50g of the dextrose.

75 ml of the slution will conatins = 59 100ml * * 75ml dextrose

= 3.75g dextrose

ANS Every hour patient gets 3750 mg of the dextrose.

each hour patient receives 3.75 g of dextrose

In 8 hrs patient will receive = 3.75,9 * 8hrs dextrose

= 30g dextrose

ANS Patient receive 30g of dextrose in 8 hrs.
