Answer #1

When adopting a evidence based intervention we are choosing one that has been effective when used elsewhere, while adapting is changing an existing intervention that was effective elsewhere in a different situation than proposed. You are theorizing in adapting that this intervention will fit your proposed setting and populattion where it has not yet been proven.

I would go for evidence based intervention which is to

  • assess the target population, the proposed EBI ,and the agency capacity.
  • select determine to adopt, adapt or choose another intervention.
  • prepare,with pretesting and increase agency capacity,organization.
  • PILOT create implementation plan ,have a successful pilot of intervention.
  • Implementation of intervention,include process monitoring,and evaluation.
