Answer: Being healthy requires proper diet, physical activities as well as well balanced sleep. Sleep plays an important role in maintaining health. The minimum of 5-6 hours sleep a person need on the daily basis. Our body also requires rest and sleep is the best way to release body stress.
If a person is not getting proper sleep then he becomes more prone to many of the diseases. The health condition of the person gets more worse day by day. The insufficient sleep causes irritation, stress. When the condition becomes more severe, as it causes abnormal functioning of the brain which leads to unconsciousness, irrational thinking, unable to concentrate etc. Insufficient sleep destroy the normal functioning of the brain.
Loss of appetite, loss of hair, weight loss etc are the results of insufficient sleep. All the hormonal functions of the body get disturbed. The sleep also effects the gastrointestinal absorption so there is lack of nutrients occurs.
Eating healthy foods and having proper lifestyle leads to well maintained body as well as mind. We should include healthy diet in our daily routine. We should avoid junk food and fats intake. Indulgence of physical activities benefits us as it maintains healthy weight and reduces the risk of many diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension etc. We should include more water intake such as atleast 8 glass of water per day, this will flush out the toxic substances from our body. We should include fibres, calcium as well as protein in our diet which can be obtained from green vegetables, white meat and fresh fruits.
The combination of healthy diet and a sound sleep will enhance the health of a person which also keeps the mind healthy.
