Burke-Litwin's change model has four groups of elements for an
organization.
External- individual and organizational performance
Transformational-It includes mission, strategy, leadership and
organizational culture
Transactional-Includes management process, structure, policy,
procedure, work climate, motivation, individual needs and values,
and needs of individual skills and abilities.
Performance
Transformational factors describe the changes in the organization.
If any changes occur in these factors it causes changes in
organizational culture. Leadership factors provide the right
decision to staff. leadership responsibility to improve vision and
increase acheivement.. mission and strategy describe the
achievement of the organization, culture describes the norms and
values of the organization.
Burke-Litwin's organizational change model describes the changes
for implementation for leaders. leaders should make changes in the
external environment. organization culture improvement through
appropriate leadership style and management practice. the

employees to make changes that shape the organization. they train
the employee to have leadership power for making own
decision-making skills to improve safety climate, patient
