Health care facilities include long-term care,skilled nursing care,home care etc..These facilities must be comfortable.the services and needs for older adults in this facilities especially in Activity of Daily Living(ALDs) like for bathing, dressing, feeding,toileting,Grooming, oral care,using a wheel chair,house keeping(laundry),transportation,nutrition,money transaction,medication management...
Quality care must be provided for older people,it must include health promotion,disease prevention,primary health care,prevention of fall,psychogeriatric and palliative care services, long-term care in the community,residence and nursing homes.
More attention needed for neuro disorder,mental disorder,depression and dementia patients..Health care facilities must have a aim to preserve dignity and autonomy and minimize distress with older patients..Dignity is maintaing self respect to older patients..autonomy is providing decision making power for older adults..Avoid poor attitudes towards older adults when working in acute care..provide adequate information to make informed choices about care especially older adults from ethnic minority they will be sensitivity with their cultural system..so good practice overcome with this barriers and maintain patient autonomy throughout the treatment of care..Provide medical reimbursement for poor and low income patients with heart disease,injury,poisoining,musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorder,respiratory disease..improve quality measures to fulfill patient needs..Prevent fall when they undergone for surgery,age more than 80years, psychological disorder and and patient with severe pain and depression..Create structured and unique communication with patient for facilitate more safety and quality care..
