Answer #1

In healthcare settings, mostly the managers adopt an authoritarian/autocratic leadership style wherein the manager himself/herself plays the major role as per the organisational goals and the group must follow him/her still maintaining an effective communication to accomplish the tasks.

The personal/behavioral traits of the manager includes:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Decision Making
  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Confidentiality
  • Empathy
  • Respectful
  • Courage
  • Knowledge
  • Initiative

what is missing?

Adoption of different management style depends on the circumstances and the group of people to be managed is always beneficial for an effective employee engagement and strong bonding between manager and subordinate.

If the group is well experienced and self motivated then the manger should adopt a democratic leadership style that enhances an innovative work culture and the employees will be more productive, at the same time the manager also get benefited out of this by achieving his goals in an effective method.
