The most simple way to differentiate values and belief are

• Value is a set of standards set by a person and trying to abide and follow it
• Beliefs is the way of following things ,in view that it exists in the world or universe

These personal values and beliefs can influence the nursing practices in te following ways

For example

• A nurse if Jehovah's witness cannot make a patient refuse for Blood transfusions or its related procedures to save life's.Though this stands against their religious believes and practices ,but being a nurse they should value its beneficial effect to patients as their nursing practice and do the procedure.
• A consent provided for a surgery on a mentally ill major patient or a drug abuser by their family members can sound morally unacceptable but ethically acceptable. This can make a nurse things that the patient's rights are violated on the grounds of their values and beliefs.
