1.The term myopia is also called as near sightedness. In simple the person will be able to see the objects are nearby or closes to but will not able to see the objects which are far. This can occur as one ages,or with corneal defects or with retinal problems.Normally the light which enters the eye should reach the retina to get the clear sight but in this condition this light point ends before reaching the retina leading to blurred vision or inability to see the object clearly.

2.The treatment available for myopia are

  • Corrective eye glasses
  • Contact lens
  • LASIK surgery
  • Photorefractive keratectomy
  • Administration of atropine eye drops can slowen the progression of the condition

3.Vertigo is a neurological condition in which the balance are lost. This symptom is more prominent when one closes the eyes. This could be due to any ear infection(cold can affect the ear) inflammation of the nerves in the ear, calcium deposition ,head injury. Here the patient has cold which could risk him to have vertigo due to infection

4.When a person with vertigo closes their eye the sense of equilibrium is lost or the proprioception function of balancing and movement is lost .Thus closing the eyes stops the sensory functions leading to worsening of symptoms .
