33.1)Cellulitis is the inflammation of the subcutaneous connective tissues.It is also referred tinted common infection of the skin and soft tissues.

33.2) The common causes of cellulitis are

• Any trauma or injury to the skin
• Medical conditions like diabetes where skin healing are delayed
• Skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema, sores
• An infection occurring after surgery
• Any foreign objects in the skin
• Bacterial infection (S aureus,S pyogens)
• Infectious wound
• Intravenous catheter
• Burns
• Elephantiosis,Milroy's disease,chronic venous stasis
• Weakened immune system
• Previous history of Cellulitis

33.3)The assessment findings,signs and symptoms are

• Redness and swelling on observation
• Warm to touch
• Pain or tenderness present at the site
• Discharge present If it is an open wound.
• Fever due to infection
• Peau d orange appearances
• Numbness present when touched
• Symptoms which shows the infection is severe are chills,fatigue, dizziness, light headedness, muscle pain,perspiration, shivering
• Drowsiness, lethargy, blistering , red streaking are signs of spreading
