Providing for adequate rest periods

Eliminating environmental stimuli such as TV

Providing oral care before feeding. Cleaning and inserting dentures before each meal.

Placing the suction equipment at the bedside, and suction as needed. Consulting with the physician for enteral feedings, which is a PEG tube in most cases.
