  • Give the presurgical specimen of blood. As it is the patient's own blood there will be no need of cross typing and the required amount of blood can be given as soon as possible.
  • If A-ve blood is available, transfuse as soon as possible. If not, transfuse O-ve blood( universal donor)
  • Blood group AB is universal recipient (can receive blood from any other blood group). Thus, the blood transfusion will be safe.
