The reason why pregnant women are vulnerable to foodborne illness is because immune system of pregnancy women does not have enough power to fight aganist foodborne illnesses.

During pregnancy progesterone is exclated which causes decrease of cell mediated immune function and the foodborne diseases are controlled by cell mediated immune system.Because this pregnant women are more vulnerable to foodborne diseases.

Fetus is vulnerable because the bacteria can cross the placenta and affects the fetus.

And the fetus does not have enough immune system to fight off the bacteria.

Three common health problems during pregnancy.

Iron deficiency anaemia -Healthy diet is necessary during pregnancy because if iron is deficient in body it leads to anaemia so indict Iron and Folic acid should be taken in more amount during pregnancy.

Gestational diabetes- during pregnancy blood sugar is too high then treatment include exercise and healthy diet.

High blood pressure leads to preeclampsia so healthy diet and regular exercises mostly fiber rich food.
