In restaurants, staff do have to make significant amount of interaction with the customer and besides the quality of food the service provided by the restaurant is very important to keep generating revenue from the same customer. The staff who are most efficient have a combination of these characteristics. While hiring employees one has to be vigilant about hiring people with good ethics and etiquette and people who are eager to learn. If people are eager to learn then the training process become easy to complete. The importance of training can not be any less. When people are hired to do a certain task, it is very important that in the beginning they are being given proper guidance as to how they have to perform the task and give proper feedback on how they are doing the task. Once people are hired for the job, it is important that they are being treated with dignity and respect. If the restaurant owners treat the employees with due respect and provide them with decent reimbursement for their task, the staff would be more amiable while dealing with the customer. It is important to keep in mind that it is the employees who have to execute the task so that revenue can be generated. In my opinion, it is a combination of all these factors which help the restaurants increase their business.
