Public Service in Thailand:

The public sector from Thailand has appointed various government bodies in order to facilitate the living of the citizens of its country. Some of these agencies can act independently, while some of them are governed by the Thai Government.

Thailand promotes human rights of an individual and has made many laws to support it. There are various departments to serve people like the office of Anti-corruption commission, the rights and liberty protection department,department of preople's right and legal aid, ministry of justice, court of justice and more such agencies have been established by the government.

Thailand provides training to its government officials to protect the human rights and get justice for the people. While employing a government official, there are various parameters on which the individual is judged on such as knowledge, competency, capability, fairness of the process while the promotions, unbiased and no prejudices, human resource remains impartial.

The World bank itself has suggested Thailand to invest in its public services and its people to become a high-income country. Investing in education and health of the people now has become more important for Thailand. In order to raise itself from the status of the upper middle-income yielding country, Thailand has to invest in its public services for the betterment of its own people. Improving the manpower and investing in human capital will be beneficial as Thailand is a labour intensive country and the more the skilled labour present in the country, the better the finished products and goods are available and there is increase in the demand for finished goods in the domestic and international market. therefore there is in-flow of income.

Thailand has made many efforts to improve the medical conditions in the country. Initially, during the 1960s, the services were best available only in the metropolitan cities but by the end of 20th century different policies were made and implemented which took medical services in the rural regions of the country.

The government has also initiated many poverty-allieviating programs for the poor people who may not have access to their own land for farming or cattle breeding, such individuals were given jobs like fishing, construction of dams and roads.

The government is trying all its best to make the situation in Thailand better. In the upcoming years we can expect a more competent Thailand i terms of medical health, its unbiased government and government officials, tourism and education sectors.
