ANSWER-1) Injury / Illness - Injury also known as physical trauma , damaged to the body caused by external force.

Illness is defines as the disease or period of sickness affecting the body or mind.

2) MECHANISM OF INJURY -

  • Primary injury - 1) Direct or extrinsic injury

2) Indirect or intrinsic injury

3) Overuse injury a) acute repetitive friction

b)chronic repetitive microfatigue

  • Secondary Injury 1) Short term - primary injury mismanaged

2) Long term - degenerative problems

3) SIGN AND SYMPTOMS OF INJURY -

  • tenderness
  • swelling
  • joint pain like on kee joint , elbow joint as per injury site
  • redness
  • reduce range of motion
  • weakness

ANSWER 4) EMERGENCY CARE FOR

SPINAL INJURY- In case of spinal injury firstly do not move the affected person to avoid paralysis and other serious complication

  • place heavy towel or rolled sheets on both sides of the neck and hold the head and neck to prevent movement
  • If the person show no sign of circulation , start CPR But do not tilt the head or back to open the airway. use the finger to gently grasp the jaw and lift it forward.
  • do not roll alone the patient. if patient is vomiting , choking you need atleast one another person with the patient.

INGESTED POISON-

  • Firstly admitted the person in the hospital who has swallowed the poison ,for examination and treatment
  • Activated charcoal can be given to the person who has swallowed the poison
  • Antidote can be give to prevent the poison from working or side effects
  • Sedative may be given if patient is agiated
  • ventilator can be used in case of brathing problem or stop breathing
  • Anti epileptic medication can be administer if the patient has seizues

INHALED POISON - CARBON MONOXIDE

  • Get the patient into fresh air immediately
  • Begin CPR if necessary
  • call for emergency no.
  • Admit to the person in the hospital
  • firstly administer oxygen by face mask
