Bromination of Acetanilide In a 25-mL Erlenmeyer flask, dissolve 0.68 g of acetanilide in approximately 4 mL glacial acetic acid. Record the exact amount of the limiting reactant that you used. Add a stir bar followed by 1.6 g pyridinium tribromide. Heat the mixture to ~60°C in a warm water bath for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes, add 15 mL water and approximately 2 mL saturated sodium bisulfite solution to remove excess bromine, which shows by the disappearance of the orange color. If the orange color remains, add an additional 2 mL of the sodium bisulfite solution. Cool the reaction mixture in an ice bath for 5 minutes and then collect the crystals by vacuum filtration using the Hirsch funnel. Wash the crystals with a small amount of water (~5 mL), and leave in the Hirsh funnel under vacuum to dry (~5 min). Add your waste to the appropriate container!

Please show me how to find theoretical. yield. The balancing of the equation and overall structure of unit cancelation in order to then calculate percent yield. What we got from the experiment was the para isomer. Here is relevant data:

Exact amount of acetanilide: 0.680 g dissolved in 4 mL acetic acid

Exact amount pyridinium tribromide: 1.630 g

Final mass: 1.003 g

This would really help, thank you!
