How might this discovery be used to address some of the big issues currently confronting health promotion, notably obesity and low levels of physical activity?

A network of personal or business contacts, especially as facilitated by social networking on the internet is called Social network. It allows it's members to communicate and socialize with each other. Now a days Social network has a major impact on the health related beliefs, values and behaviours.

Health promotion

Health promotion activities or strategies are aimed to promote the health and wellbeing of the individual, family and community.

Obesity: The state of being obese due to an excess of body fat is called obesity.

Low physical exercise: Lack of physial exercises, may cause many chronic disease such as Diabetes or hypertension.

Social network and health promoting activities

Social network or Social media are powerful tools to impact the population. Through social media we can influence people' s values, attitudes and health behaviours positively and negatively.  

Social networks can be used for health promotion activities especially to maintain normal bodyweight and to improve the physical activity. It can be used for promoting the health interventions and getting the idea popìular. Posts related to the risk of obesity and It is effects , importance of exercise and its benefits can be spread over a number of people at a short time.Good health behaviours can be achieved through social media or Social network. Diet education, different type diet and it's effect on body can be posted in social media. Health education advertisements can be passed through networks. Diet Challenges can motivate the over weght body people to adapt changes to their diet.

Social network sites can be used for publishing the research or evidence based practices regarding bodyweight and exercise.
