It is right that the nifurtimox,the medicine used for the treatment of Chaga disease will make many problems in children than the adults.

* For adults the dosage of the nifurtimox is normally 8-10 mg/kg.The patients usually consume this medicine after food.

* In children the dosage of the nifurtimox is normally 16-20 mg/kg.The children's in the age up to 10 receives this for around 2.5-3 months.

* For the children's in age more than 10,the nifurtimox is provided with 12.5-15 mg/kg for around 2.5-3 months.

The nifurtimox is very successful for the Chaga's disease,but in some regions of the world there are some changes in the effectiveness of this medicine.

- In children's the Nifurtimox leads to many aftereffects and they are,

* The nifurtimox may leads to some gastric problems such as vomiting,loose motions etc.

* Decrease in body weight,fatigue,sleeping problems,memory problems,skin diseases and disease that effect peripheral nerves.

* High body temperature(fever) and joint aches are also seen.

* Heavy dosage may leads to psychosis.

So we can say that nifurtimox is dangerous in children's than adults.
