Ondansetron is an antiemetic medication having an action by
blocking the 5-HT3 serotonin receptor to reduce the symptoms of
nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy. It has a risk
factor of cardiographic changes like prolonged QT-interval,
ventricular tachycardia, hypokalemia and electrolyte imbalance,
congenital heart failure, constipation, diarrhea, jaundice, stomach
pain, blurred vision.
Nursing consideration:
- Monitor fluid and electrolyte status in case of vomiting and
diarrhea.

-The patient should not breastfeed the baby if they are taking this
