Factors associated with coronary artery disease are as follows :-

Modifiable factors :- These factors can be modified by lifestyle or by medications.

1) Smoking

2) Physical inactivity ( lack of exercises)

3) Obesity

4) Dietary factors ; diets which are deficient in polyunsaturated fatty acid and low vitamin C and Vitamin E

5) Diabetes mellitus

6) High cholesterol; Elevated level of LDL and it can be modified by diet and medication.

7) Stress.

Non- Modifiable factors: - These factors are not modified by lifestyle changes or by medications.

1) Age :- Man > 45:years Females > 55 years

2) Family history of Coronary artery disease

3) Genetic factors

4) Geographical factors .
