Alzheimer’s disease is a type of progressive neurodegenerative disorder, more common in elderly patients. Pathologically it is characterized by the gradual loss of neurons as well as synapses more profoundly in cerebral cortex and the subcortical regions of brain. This neurodegenerative defect leads to the development of the atrophy in the temporal and parietal lobes of the frontal cortex in the brain. Apart from the age relation some other are the responsible factors line genetics, smoking and the Down syndrome.
