Ans.

the social ecological approach-

The Social Ecological Model (SEM) is a theory-based framework for understanding the multifaceted and interactive effects of personal and environmental factors that determine behaviors, and for identifying behavioral and organizational leverage points and intermediaries for health promotion within organizations.

CDC uses a four-level social-ecological model to better understand violence and the effect of potential prevention strategies. ... It allows us to understand the range of factors that put people at risk for violence or protect them from experiencing or perpetrating violence.

Social ecological approach to behavior change

-Interaction between and interdependence of factors within and across all levels of a health problem
-Behavior has multiple levels of influence
-Behavior change usually a combination of individual and environmental/policy-level interventions

first you must identify your problem, then plan to attack each problem, get resources, carry out the plan then evaluate.
inheriting the community organizing programming processes behavior change
therefore, in order for the community organizing to be successful people must change their behaviors
it is going to take multi level intervention to achieve substantial changes in heath behavior

three major components of the socio ecological model-

Levels include intrapersonal (individual's knowledge, demographics, attitudes, values, skills, behavior, self-concept, self-esteem), interpersonal (social networks, social supports, families, work groups, peers, friends, neighbors), organizational (norms, incentives, organizational culture, management styles.

difference between goals and objectives in public health promotion.--

Definition of Goals and Objectives
Goals ‘“ are long-term aims that you want to accomplish.
Objectives ‘“ are concrete attainments that can be achieved by following a certain number of steps.
Goals and objectives are often used interchangeably, but the main difference comes in their level of concreteness. Objectives are very concrete, whereas goals are less structured.

Objectives are the aims that you want to achieve in a short span of time. The goals are the result i.e. a primary outcome, but if we talk about objective, it is a stepping stone for achieving the goal. The goals are based on ideas, whereas objectives are facts based.

When you are giving a presentation to a potential or current employer, knowing the difference between goals and objectives can be crucial to the acceptance of your proposal. Here is an easy way to remember how they differ:

Goals ‘“ has the word ‘go’ in it. Your goals should go forward in a specific direction. However, goals are more about everything you accomplish on your journey, rather than getting to that distant point. Goals will often go into undiscovered territory and you therefore can’t even know where the end will be.

Objectives ‘“ has the word ‘object’ in it. Objects are concrete. They are something that you can hold in your hand. Because of this, your objectives can be clearly outlined with timelines, budgets, and personnel needs. Every area of each objective should be firm.

the objectives of health promotion-

The agency aims to promote the wellbeing of individuals and encourage healthy lifestyles, prevent disease, illness and injury, enable environments that support health and wellbeing, and to reduce personal, economic and social harm.

public health goals--

Public health is the science of protecting and improving the health of people and their communities. This work is achieved by promoting healthy lifestyles, researching disease and injury prevention, and detecting, preventing and responding to infectious diseases.
