Answer)Assisting pap smear: cancerous cells are detected by doing pap smear exAmination in the cervix area. Being a medical assistant doctor asked to assist pap smear examination. It teaches me how to do pap smear. I set up the room and the equipments required for the the test, the instruments required are collected and set for the test according to what type of test is performed either slide based or thin preperation.

pelvic examination: Being an assist i have to prepare Things before the examination,

1) i would ask the patient to remove clothes and lay in bed

2) talk to the patient for any medical concerns

3) make the patient to lie on his back

4) help the patient to lie correctly

5) give the instruments needed for the test to the doctor

6) assist doctor in doing pap smear test

7)plastic spatula and a small brush is handed to the doctor

8) then discard the used gloves and the instruments
