Differences in facial expression is not a barrier in verbal communication. Facial expression infact tell us more about the message being perceived or not by the receiver.if you watch the face you can easily interpret the signals and information. Yes but missing those is really a barrier.

Rest other options are barrier in verbal communication. Specialised biomedical jargon for e.g medical words cannot be understood by everyone except for the medical personnel.culture specific taboos for eg timings for meeting may be different in different culture. Connative meaning of words a simple word may be meant different in different community.
