Case study of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) - This study has been taken from Taiwan because CKD is really prevalent in Taiwan. Diabetes Mellitus or Hypertension is the major risk factor associated with CKD and more than two-third people of end-stage CKD suffer from this.

More than 5300 cases of CKD along with around 5100 controls in the CKD or hypertension or diabetes mellitus cases were included in the study. 4 demographic, 5 lifestyles and 5 disease effect factors were surveyed and significant results with heterogeneity between patients were obtained.

It was observed that gender (male), age, lack of exercise and anemia were the risk factors associated with CKD.
